About Us

Pathways is about us. It’s about you and I along with others who dream of a place where we reflect the kaleidoscope in the community around where we live. ” One Culture, many races, one Community”.

Pathways is about people like you who envision a place that people “go from” and not just “come too”.  Pathways is more than a Sunday morning 1 hour “come to” gathering church.  Pathways is a “go to” scattering church. We will “Be the Church” and “Go to” those in need of Gods love around our community city and even the world.

Pathways is a group of real world, real life, everyday progressing people who believe that we were made for something more than selfish existence.

Pathways is alive.  Pathways is alive with people; people with a passion to not leave the city, our community or the world as we find it.  Pathways is a group of people who know that we can both do better and be better.

Pathways is for change. as we move a few steps closer to Living Out” in our world as Jesus did, we belive we will change for the better.

We believe that if we truly follow Jesus- His ways and His teachings we can also bring progressive change in our world.  Pathways is not about simply talking about, our preaching about Jesus. Nope – we are more intrested in being about Jesus and His work in our lives and in our world.  JOIN THE REVOLUTION.  Be the change !    Be the Church !  Be a Part of Pathways !

Church planting is one of the most effective tools anywhere when it comes to reaching out and caring for people.

In the greater Cincinnati region there is a clear disparity in the number of viable churches in comparison to the need.  While this alone is enough cause for a deep sense of sorrow, even more disheartening is the fact that there are only one or two churches like Pathways that intentionally envision themselves as a multi-ethnic church.  We believe as Mark Batterson does, that “too many people in too many churches look to much alike”.

Tibbs Maxey had this to say about homogenous churches.  “Shall we color the church black, or shall we color the church white?  I say color the church black and white – or color it yellow”.

Tibbs Maxey speaks of the major issue of the larger demographic of Blacks and Whites who worship and serve separately. We at Pathways have a vision to see other ethnic groups worshiping and serving together.

West Chester has been identified as a fast growing diverse area in greater Cincinnati. It is exploding with new homes and the growth of new businesses.  West Chester is one of the most desirable communities. Blacks, whites and Latinos target it as a great place to build a family and settle.  The current population in this area is in need of a new church like Pathways.

Church planting is one of the most effective evangelism tools anywhere.
